Top trends for winter!

Hello!
For the majority of us the fall/ winter weather has fast appeared. I can't even remember the last time I left the house without a ton of layers on or a jacket on! I've even experienced the first snowfall of the season. With it only being the beginning of these cold months, our fashion needs to look hot to override the frigid temperatures. You don't need a whole new wardrobe to be stylish so here are the nine must haves staples for your wardrobe this winter!
This leather jacket for HM by Versace goes for $299. I am loving leather jackets either to enhance your outfit or keep you warm. This is the perfect way to edge up an outfit and gives you the tough girl vibe. This jacket can be worn all year which is fab!

These Free people boots go for $279. I am OBSESSED with boots right now. Cowboy, leather, booties, knee high, heeled; you name it, I want it! These should be a staple in every girls closet. They're so many options and they look good with nearly everything. Wear your motorcycle boots with skinny jeans or knee high heels with a dress.

(On left) Rachel Zoe blouse for $295 or an affordable version (On right) Lucca Couture for $59. I am loving the bow blouse! Blouses are so chic and feminine but the bow makes it so on trend. Wear it with black pants like Rachel Zoe did or add jean shorts like Lucca Couture. This takes the blouse to an ultra feminine level and still keeps it business savvy.

This fur vest from Ecote goes for $89. Fur vests are a must for the cold weather. Fur is super chic for winter but a vest is more wearable for indoor activities. It is wearable for any outfit and can easily be thrown over anything you have on. Make sure you're wearing faux fur, don't want to upset PETA or kill any animals in the process.

This JCrew scarf goes for $59.50. Scarves have been hot but I am loving them for these winter months. They are perfect for layering and they can add to that simple blazer or Tshirt. Add prints or a solid color and it is the perfect way to layer or spice up an outfit.

(On left) Rachel Zoe Cape (On right) Anthropology cape for $188. I am in love with capes for this season. They are a unique twist on a typical jacket and the shape is awesome. Some capes can even be worn as dresses with tights. This is the perfect outwear for winter!

These are both from Urban Outfitters, the sweater goes for $49 and the shorts are $39. Knits are amazing to keep warm during these cold months. I call this the 'grandma trend' of the oversized sweaters and knits but they are super cute and fashionable. The sweaters are perfect for layering and add tights with a pair of shorts.

These Urban Outfitters tights go for $20. Being an ice skater I love tights and wear them all the time. Now nude and black tights are considered 'boring' (even though I love my black tights!) and the prints and wild colors are what's hot. Pair tights with dresses, skirts, and even shorts. They keep you warm and make any outfit that much cuter.

This HM blazer goes for $49.95. I love blazers for every season. They make an outfit more polished and it looks so sophisticated. It's perfect for the upcoming months as an extra layer or a jacket. Blazers fall into the 'menswear' trend which is super sexy. Blazers, button ups, and boyfriend jeans all fall into meanswear. Be super feminine in what's typically a mans outfit.

Hope these staples end up in your winter wardrobe! Remember layer up, look hot (pun intended), and try to keep warm.

Look for less, Stella McCartney

Hey!
So I was browsing online and came across a dress that I had this emiphany that I saw on a celeb before. So after some quick research I figured out that Kate Winslet wore a similar Stella McCartney dress to the 'Mildred Piere' Premiere. I am all about getting a deal on a look. Finding a dress that looks like a designers is like finding love.

Here is Kate Winslet in the dress.

This is the look from the runway show. (Kate Winslet is wearing a different number, they're both from same line though.)

And here is the knockoff version! This is from Asos and goes for $104.76. Both looks have the black, sweetheart neck, the black poka dot mesh sleeves, and the peplum.

Got to love finding a (designer) look for less!

Perfect outwear for fall!!

Hello!
Fall is officially here. The leaves are changing colors and starting to fall to the ground. Ultimately the temperature have  begun to plummet to the freezing marks. It is time to break out the outwear and brace the freezing temperatures and nipping winds. Here are the cutest jackets for the winter months that are totally chic.
This HM vest with faux fur trim goes for $49.95. It comes in black and beige. I love wearing wearing vests and they are perfect for layering. Pair it with jeans and a long sleeve t-shirt or a sweatshirt and it's totally perfect. Vests are the perfect to wear part of your outwear indoors.

This Pixie Market vest foes for $140. This jacket comes with the faux fur trim and has a quilted pattern. I love how easy this vest is and it is lined for extra warmth. This is the vest that can turn into a layering piece and not just a jacket for warmth.

This Kristen Blake faux fur vest goes for $110. This is taking fur to the next level with a complete fur vest. It is faux fur so PETA won't be all over you. I love the colors and design that is in the fur. The belt is an added bonus to synch in your waist too!

This HM puffer jacket goes for $49.95 and comes in black, blue, and light grey. Puffer jackets are totally adorable and give you extra volume (perfect to hide extra winter flab!). Love how this has the synched in belt to keep you fashionable and highlights your waist.

This BB Dakota Josie jacket goes for $139 and comes in the color pictured. I love this jacket from the shapes to the asymmetrical front, snap enclosures, and belt. This jacket looks a designer jacket without the designer price tag.
This Obey denim jacket goes for $220. Jean jackets should be a fall jacket staple. Some fall days aren't as chilly and you can pull off a jean jacket with an outfit to keep warm. Pair it with a dress, leggings, or sweater+tight combo for perfect look.

This Sparkle and Fade leather jacket goes for $129. Leather jackets are the perfect staple for every season and give you that tough chick vibe. They're the perfect way to edge up an outfit or to seem more bad ass. The asymmetrical zipper makes it an unexpected twist as well.
This Urban 1972 blazer goes for $67. I love blazers and you can pair them with everything to give your look a more sophisticated vibe. For the coming months keep your blazer alive and add a scarf, hat, glove combo to keep warm. Go beyond the black blazer to the cremes, beiges, and even a pop of color.

This Anthropology cape goes for $188. I am dying over caps this season and they are the perfect jacket. I really how this can be turned into a unique twist on a blazer if you undo the buttons and loosen the belt. I don't usually wear colors but this chocolate and mustard color is totally cute. Plaid is always a must for fall so you get two trends in one.

This Ascot swing coat goes for $168. This is the perfect fall jacket and totally reminds me of what Blair would wear on "Gossip Girl". This mustard color gives you a pop of color and totally mixes it up. The bow on top draws your eye up to you (gorg) face, plus bows are hot right now.

This Asos pleated trench is on sale for $61.11. Trenches are great coats especially when the weather isn't in the negatives yet. I love how this trench has the pleated skirt and double breasted buttons. Add a belt and you may just be able to wear this as a dress instead of just a trench!
http://us.asos.com/ASOS-ASOS-Pleated-Skirt-Trench/w0owy/?iid=1467642&cid=11898&sh=0&pge=1&pgesize=20&sort=-1&clr=Cream&mporgp=L0Fzb3MvQXNvcy1QbGVhdGVkLVNraXJ0LU1hYy9Qcm9kLw..?MID=35719&affid=2135&siteID=p.E2XVDQFnI-wqeHkEa6B0VwDxejGFJ3lg

This Topshop jacket goes for $159. This wool duffle coat comes in this aubergine color with detachable hood. I really love the wood barrel fastens on it and it reminds me of something off the European countryside.

This Marlene Birger poncho goes for $435. Loving ponchos for this season as well. They are the perfect snuggle outfit, warm sweater, or coverup to throw on. I love the little bow belt in the middle and the pom poms at the bottom. This poncho can be a designer blanket or your comfy poncho. Pair with skinnies or tights+sweater dress combo for perfect fall/winter look.

As you can see there are a ton of varieties of outwear for the upcoming months. With the impending drop in temperatures one must be prepared to fight the cold with the best jackets possible. Get your puffer, poncho, or cape ready!

2011 Emmy's!!

Hello!
Yet another award show has come upon us today. The Emmy's just occurred and of course my favorite part of award shows is the fashion! Let's get on with the fashion best and worst. On the carpet stars were sizzling in red and had a love for bedazzled dresses.
Kyle Richards in Ines Di Santo. I hate this blue prom bomb. It looks cheap and the fabric is to shiny. I feel like she would of worn this to an 80's prom with bigger hair. Like the color on her but she could do much better.

Sarah Hyland in Christian Siriano and Lorraine Schwartz jewels. I love, love this dress and think it's fab! The color is fresh and playful. Plus the jeweled belt adds some bling and makes it classy. The pleated skirt with the rushed, one shoulder top is amazing. Love!

Kathy Griffin in Oscar de la Renta. This fiery redhead in red. Kathy is no spring chicken and I find this totally age appropriate. The only thing is that the fabric is really shiny and she seams/ wrinkled needs to go. Kathy's bod is looking ah-mazing though.

Aubrey Plaza in Juan Carlos Obando. I love the white on her and the ruffled on top gives it a girly vibe. The halter gives it an unexpected touch as well. On top is is sort of fun and the bottom is sleeker and tighter. Plus her hair is totally fab with the curls.

Heidi Klum in Christian Siriano with Lorraine Schwartz jewels. I love Heidi and she has a killer body and I loved Christian in Project Runway. However, the bottom of this dress is to much! It looks like she has the runs of either flowers or sea sponge and it's coming out of the bottom of the dress. I love the top and color but the bottom needs to go.

Katie Holmes in Calvin Klein. I feel like this entire ensemble is to casual for the Emmy's. I can see this dress for going to a BBQ. There isn't any wow factor and it's just to casual. Katie has a great body and she's hiding it behind this baggy dress.

Heather Morris in Masai Payan. This dress can go either way as this dark evil princess or a napkin holder. I sort of like this look since the layers make it dynamic and interesting. She just came out about having her implants taken out and she took a risk by putting on this deep cleavage bearing front. The dress is full of drama but the not on top of her head is to much.

Jane Lynch in David Meister and Lorraine Schwartz. Jane got out of the role of Sue Sylvester and her track suit and traded it in for a gown. Personally, I find it misplacing to see her in a sweetheart neck, strapless dress. I do love this color on her though.

Sofia Vergara in Vera Wang. This curvalicious diva looks fab in this dress and I love the color!! It fits her spicy personality and looks great on her skin. The draping over the hips and along the bodice is making her look super tiny

Evan Rachel Wood in Elie Saab, Fred Leighton jewelry, and Judith Leiber clutch. This takes your black dress to the next level with the sparkly fabric and longer train. I love how she isn't showing much skin but the dress is totallhot. She looks regal and polished.

Nina Dobrev in Donna Karan gown, Brian Atwood shoes, and Neil Lane. Red hot! This strapless gown is perfect on top and makes her look like she has a 22' waist with DD boobs. I'm not a fan of the bottom of the dress since it looks like napkins were stuck to it. If They had just kept it plain and flowing then it would of been fab.

Kate Winslet in Elie Saab and Cartier jewelry. Kate is looking hot in red! This is so classic and perfect without being overdone. This red dress has the cleavage to give you that sexy vibe. The drop down earrings and bracelet add that glam vibe. She is working it!

Dianna Agron in Roksanda Illincic. This is a matronly disaster. Dianna is a young girl with a great body and she is hiding behind this blue sack! There's no shape and it doesn't do anything for her body. Grandma would wear this..

Lea Michele in Marchesa. In the past Lea has been more sexy on the carpet and I love how she was more simple. The dress has the detailing on the shoulders along with a plunging back to bring some sexiness. It's simple but packs a punch.

Cat Deeley in Monique Lhuillier with Bulgari jewels. Cat is ooking awesome in this dress. I love how the beading goes from heavy on top to fading on the bottom. It reminds me of a subdued princess dress. Perfect!

Christina Hendricks in Johanna Johnson dress and Palladium jewelry. Va-va-boobs!! I love how she is curvalicious and totally hot. This color works with her lighter skin tone but the crystals give her a glam vibe. The boobs are out and the slit is high so the sex appeal is high. This dress works for her and I love how she embraces her curves and shows them off.

Julie Bowen in Oscar de la Renta and Neil Lane jewelry. This dress is stunning and makes her look super tall and lean. The plunging neckline shows off her cleavage and makes it sexy. The sequin appliqué is a fun touch and makes it look super glam. Not sure about the parted slicked back pony. I think louse waves would of made it look more natural.

Emily Blunt in Elie Saab. I love the shape of the dress from the deep V-neck to the tight synch and the color. I'm not totally a fan of the feathery details since she looks like bird that has been plucked. This bird needs to find the rest of their feathers that fell off!

Gwyneth Paltrow wore this Emilio Pucci dress with Neil Lane jewels. This dress looks like some lace curtain that got cut in half and she decided to wear. I'm all for cutouts but the material coming out makes it look unfinished. Gwyn looks fab but this lace curtain I could do without.

Jayma Mays in Zuhair Murad and Neil Lane jewelry. I am not a fan of this dress especially on Jayma. The pale pink is really fading out her pale skin and her hair looks undone. The tiered skirt looks like cupcake holders as well. I do like the appliqué on top but it would of been better with a sweetheart neckline and it going off the shoulders. The color, the neck, is all so off.

Kerry Washington in Zuhair Murad. Another red hot dress! I love how this isn't the typical skirt and is more fringe. It reminds me of a flapper day with the tight bodice, fringe skirt, and the red. It is sexy!

Padma Lakshmi in Armani Prive. This gold color usually looks good on darker skinned gals but I'm not loving it. I feel like she should of worn a bright color. I lve the top rushed bust but the rest is simple. She needed more pf a punch somewhere.

Amy Poehler in Peter Som and Judith Leiber clutch. She looks like a space alien in this tight, sparkly, blue dress. It's to much dress and shine. There isn't anything interesting about the shape of the dress and it doesn't move. The dress is wearing her and it needs to go back to the galaxy.

Kelly Osbourne in J. Mendel with Palladium Simon G jewelry. Kelly is looking fab in this dress and in her new body. This dark plum color fits her and stands out on her pale skin. The mermaid bottom along with the rushing and asymmetrical straps is fresh look.
