Week of August 13

Hello! I am the worst fashion blogger. A fashion blog without any fashion?! I promise to get better at this and show everyone what I'm strutting the streets in. The weather is slowly starting to change in NY and we don't have crippling heat waves. You could almost say that fall is right around the corner. I must admit, I am ready to break out the sweaters and boots!

Today was a hot day with the temps soaring into the 80's and lots of sun! I am wearing black shorts from HM. The top is actually my mothers'! I believe she got it at Target. It has a small V-neck and a tiny collar with the cap sleeves. It is actually a polka-dot print in a nudish tone. I have to tuck in the shirt since it is a bit big but it creates this nice waistline. I love how I can go and steal my mothers clothes and turn them into my own, even though we aren't the same size!

Today was another hot day in the city! I decided to play up a bit more of a casual side but put on a kick-ass pair of wedges to keep it from being to casual. The shorts are from HM and are in a violet color. I am really loving the colored shorts right now, the color is muted so I don't stand out to much. The top is from Target and is a cream colored with a floral appliqué on top. I paired it with a thin brown belt and I was ready to go.

The temperature soared into the 80's with storms in the afternoon. I totally got soaked on my walk to the train, wet t-shirt contest woohoo! The shorts are from HM and they are black/white tribal print. They are a bit loud but I was trying to be daring with my look. I kept my top simple with the black v-neck since the pants are so loud. I paired it with a thin black belt and this bracelet. The bracelet is actually from Bermuda and is glass blown!

Week of July 2

I had to share a picture of my nails. Thanks to instragram for the picture! Being that the Fourth is this week, I needed my nails to represent my patriotic side. Red nails with white/ blue stripe and a firework design on ring finger. I used a toothpick for the design which made it super easy!

Hello!! It is July 2 and it was 90degrees and sunny here in NYC. I was in the office for the majority of the day but it wasn't a hot 90, if that even makes sense. Today, I was feeling like going for office chic but needed to ward off the heat. I am wering a peach blouse with ruffles down the front that I tucked into navy high waisted shorts. The shirt is a bit seethrough so i wore a tan bra to keep it office appropriate. Both pieces are from Forever 21. I paired it with vintage earrings as my statement piece and nude heels.

Today is July 3. It was in the mid to late eighties here in NYC. We decided to be complete Americans and go fishing. Worms, fish, and hooks aren't exactly chic.. On this note, I decided to dress down for the occasion. I paired a v-neck black tshirt with denim cutoff jeans and black combat boots. Simple but the combat boot give it that extra edge. Unfortunately, this look doesn't protect against sunburn. OUCH! -->
Happy (belated Fourth). I am back in the city this July 5. It was in the nineties and quite hot here in NYC. Being that I didn't go to bed till after midnight and was up at 6:30am, I wanted to keep the outfit simple. I wanted to throw something on and walk out the door. This printed maxi dress was on sale for $9.99 at Aero. I usually don't go for prints or colors but I made an exception. The dress is a statement enough so I just did a statement silver earring. I added the thin brown belt to break up the look so I didn't look like a giant flower. Unfortunately, I am not very tall and my dress was dragging so I had to break out the wedges to add some extra height to my long dress.
